PAYETTE Videography and Social Media Internship Showcase

Role: Summer 2025 Videography and Social Media Intern

Company: PAYETTE

PAYETTE is a leading Boston-based architectural design firm, whose practice focuses on technologically and programmatically complex buildings for scientific research, higher education, healthcare, and corporate research clients. 


As a Videography and Social Media Intern at PAYETTE, I gained hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing strategies as a member of their team.

Highlights

  • Produced and edited ten Instagram Reels (15–60 seconds each), leading all stages of production and editing using Adobe suite programs.
  • Garnered 63,500+ cumulative views across published Reels (as of July 31, 2025), boosting digital engagement.
  • Captured high-quality slow-motion B-roll for social media, blog posts, and website assets.
  • Used Frame.io for professional archiving, team review, and delivery workflows.

Skills

Responsibilities

  • Curating and creating visual stories to be used across social media platforms.
  • Filming, processing, and editing video footage, including cutting, color grading, and audio recording.
  • Working with Social Media team to capture content including:
  • 1) Short-form interviews
  • 2) B-roll footage of model making and design processes in the office
  • 3) Architectural works and spaces in use


Software and Equipment Used

  • Software: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Camera Equipment: Nikon Z6 + lenses, DJI Ronin RS3 (gimbal), professional mics
  • Workflow Tools: Frame.io for footage review, archival, and versioning

Videography & B-ROLL

Using DSLR cameras and equipment, I attended several office events and on-site tours to capture b-roll footage. I was able to improve my videography skills to capture candid reactions and well-framed shots. The footage was then used in Instagram reels, office blog posts, and website banners.

Instagram Reels

Spearheading all elements of production, videography, and editing, I created a collection of 15-60 second Instagram reels. Each reel was designed to spotlight PAYETTE’s projects, people, and culture, while tapping into trends and audio that resonate with the platform’s audience.
